KL20 LCO

It is a specific fluid for the internal cleaning of hydraulic circuits, thermofluid circuits and internal combustion engines.

    • Removes varnish, charcoal, sludge and lacquers adhered to the surface of tanks, cylinders, pumps, circuits and solenoid valves.
    • Removes moisture residues.
    • Provides an excellent cleaning level, improving system performance at the next fresh fluid replenishment.

Hydraulic systems in general.

Heat transfer systems where petroleum fluids are used. Petroleum oil pipelines.

Flushing processes in gearboxes, transmissions, circuits. Combustion engines, internal crankcase cleaning.

Instructions for use

Thermofluid circuits:

Remove the fluid in use and hand it over to an authorised waste disposal company. Fill the system with KL20 LCO in sufficient quantity to allow fluid suction by the circulation pump.

Leave in circulation without load and at a maximum temperature of 50 ºC for a period of 8 to 24 hours. It is recommended to increase the circulation speed to ensure a turbulent flow and to facilitate the internal cleaning process. Empty the system completely and collect the fluid by filtering it with a 50-100 micron mesh; fluid can be reused in new cleanings depending on its degree of soiling.

Hydraulic circuits:

Remove 20 % of the total fluid in use and refill with 20 % KL20 LCO. Start the hydraulic system free of work loads for 6-8 hours at a maximum temperature of 50 °C.

Only the circulation of the fluid within the system must be ensured in order to promote the removal of deposits, lacquers, sludge and moisture from the system.

It is recommended to increase the circulation speed to ensure a turbulent flow and to facilitate the internal cleaning process.

Combustion engines:

With the engine cold, add 250-350ml for every 5 litres of oil in the sump.

Run the engine at idle speed for 10-15 minutes.

Drain the oil when hot, preferably from the bottom of the crankcase, and replace the oil filter with a new one.

The product will promote the dispersion of soot deposited in internal areas of the engine, improving system cleaning (bottom of the crankcase, turbo, bearings, bench, connecting rod-crankshaft assembly, camshaft...).

Once the dirty oil has been drained off, refill with new oil according to the manufacturer's specifications and drive normally.
