METON 25

It is an energetic acid agent for chemical cleaning of parts, equipment and circuits. Effectively and quickly removes rust deposits, as well as those of a calcareous nature on metallic surfaces. Its surfactant and organic solvent content increases its wetting and degreasing capacity.

Application Areas

Industry in general: installations and equipment likely to suffer from rust and/or calcareous deposits. Cleaning of cooling or heating circuits, cleaning of metal tanks, metallic surfaces, metal parts, etc.

Caution: Not recommended for use on aluminium.

Instructions for use

Spraying: Dilute the product in water and a 20% rate and apply it with a spraying system (Kalon Professional Acid Applicator) on the surface to be cleaned. Leave on for around 15 minutes. In case of significant deposits, use a brush. Then rinse thoroughly with water. Protect them afterwards with a corrosion inhibitor (AQUABAN or CORROBAR). In the case of parts that will be painted afterwards, protect them with an anti-corrosion primer (SUPER PRIMER PLUS).

Immersion: Dilute with water at a 20% rate in a plastic container. Soak the parts to be descaled and leave to act for a few minutes. Remove the parts and rinse them with plenty of water. Protect them afterwards with a corrosion inhibitor (AQUABAN or CORROBAR). In the case of parts that will be painted afterwards, protect them with an anti-corrosion primer (SUPER PRIMER PLUS).

By recirculation: Dilute the product in water at a 10% rate in combination with 0.05% ANTIFOAM defoamer and recirculate the cleaning dilution at a temperature of 50 ºC - 60 ºC. Cleaning can be performed at room temperature, but longer recirculation times are required. Subsequently, drain the system and rinse with plenty of water until the pH values of the circuit water and the supply water are the same.

Warning: do not mix with other chemical products.
